Capital Campaigns
Catholic Educational Services (CES) provides capital campaign counsel to schools and parishes (see partial list of client institutions). To date we have assisted schools and parishes raise over ten million dollars.
Our method is based on the principles set forth by the Association of Professional Fundraisers to ensure the highest standards of professional and ethical fund raising.
The CES model has six steps:
1.Preparation
This step involves review of the mission of the institution, creating a philanthropic spirit with the board, and selecting a professional consultant.
2.Planning
Creation of the Case Statement and the identification of donor prospects with emphasis on lead gift prospects.
3.Leadership Phase
Creation of personalized ask for major donors; solicitation of leadership gifts from major donors, and the identification of additional donor prospects. This phase also involves a screening process.
4.Advance Phase
Identification of volunteers for General campaign; training of volunteers; and the continued solicitation of advanced gifts prior to public phase.
5.Public Campaign
Solicitation from all donor prospects, including major donors who were not ready to pledge in Leadership Phase.
6.Celebration
Report and celebration of success. This is the accountability to donors and the institution.
